i've suspected this for a while, and after just checking quantcast's and google ad planner's stats on gamefly.com i thought i'd just throw out the idea that these sites suck and i can't trust them. they almost ALWAYS say the site's demographic is mostly female; also, almost every site has a ridiculously high % of black users. if the majority of gamefly.com visitors are female, i'll dickroll myself.

are there any accurate demo sites / tools out there?

Quantcast shows quite accurate statistics for my website despite low traffic.

For a while quantcast was reporting:

Male: 100%
Female: 0%

The day they started listing sites as having female traffic I knew it was bull shit. There are no females on the internet.

Also, regarding the black thing - make sure you're looking at percentages and not percentiles.

Dividing them may be a mistake. I have found that log10(quantcast) * (ad planner) = WIN.
