Question about social bookmarketing

I have used a few social bookmarketing sites about a month ago yet not a single backlink from these sites appear in google or yahoo. Did I miss a special part in the social bookmarketing process or something else?
Any clues?

Did you ping them? Gather up all of your profile urls and submit them to pingdevice

Another option is throwing them all into an rss feed and submitting them to aggregators...you can start that at html2rss.com

Where would a newb like me should have find those stuf? Is there a place that list the ways to get backlinks?
