What are the best historic must-read threads here?

There is one guideline for sure. Do not use the 'Boobs' icon unless you are posting boobs.

Click the User CP link at the top to edit your settings. There also should be a private message link and notifications as well.

There are "sticky" threads that stay at the top of sections. They are the best-of threads with much info for you.
