Quick Database Question

In the dtatabase for my games site, there is a value for each game which is the amount of times that game has been played. I want to add all of these values together through a mysql query? Is this possible, or do I need to make a complicated script that adds them all?

Also, (totally off topic) I hav noticed that people have little wickedfire bars in their signature that say whether or not the user is online, what are they for and where do they come from?

It shows if you are online at AIM. Just watch the url of the image and change the nickname to yours.

BTW, it's not hard to develop your own bar using PHP and GD2 lib.
