Radio / TV Advertising?

I have never done "real" radio or tv ads, but what we have done is a radio show on BlogTalkRadio and Webmaster Radio - We have also got some small ad space on other shows on those sites. Depending on your target customer, Podcasts and Internet Radio might be the right place. It for sure is if its a marketing tools/ app, type thing.

yeah was thinking of the best way to monetize a site using either. Gotta be some good opps in there somewhere, and if ya got the cash you could really go wild with whatever :)

Don't pay whatever the rate sheet asks for. I'm going to be showing up in the local am station for peanuts. Cost me more to get the ad made than it will to run it for 3 months.

Yeah it's a.m.... but that's my target market.

Radio ads work, but only for big ass stations and if you know someone in the industry that can give you a good deal. TV ads are fucking expensive and reaching an audience during primetime means that you will need to sell a kidney. Id say you shud target local internet stations. There are a gazillion of them around. I heard of this station that is designed for individuals to loose weight and give them the motivation to go on 24/7. Imagine what some acai shoutouts can do there.
