I'm really happy with my 1st draft (10 person non-ppr league). Now if we can all get the WF one on a day we like...

It's hard to say how good it is since I'm in a 14 person league. Also, knowing the draft order would help a lot, but it seems like a good draft.

When did you get Hightower? I picked him up in the 13th round (again, in a 14 team league) and since he's kicking ass in the preseason, he'll probably end up starting and getting the lion's share of the carries.

Its a good draft. One thing that you may want to change is having WR and RB from the same team starting. It does happen but rarely will both have great games.

I took him a lot earlier than that, 9th round.

Who was your first pick and at what pick? Jamaal Charles?

Jamaal was my first, 7th overall.

Well Calvin is starting every game he plays in no matter what. If Best stays healthy he can be a strong 2nd rb.

actually, that's great for stability and a strategy I love to use with the right team. For instance, I had andre johnson & arian foster last year ... and the texans ALWAYS score (read: getting blown out, like the lions will this year) so whether they ran the ball or passed it I scored. They were good for 25-40 every week except one.

If you want a team that wins week in and out, work out a good combo like this on a high scoring team. It's the quickest way to the playoffs.

12 person PPR league (I was last pick first round/first pick 2nd round, etc)

I think I have a real solid 1-6 with a bunch of potentials on the bench.

I took the two defenses back to back because they were the best on the draft at the time.

My 1 and 2 picks were McCoy and Calvin Johnson. and yes, i have no back up QB (yet).

oh man, your entire team hinges on Romo not getting injured. that's putting way too many eggs in one basket.

Not a bad team/draft at all at first glance...but it really is hard to decipher whether a team is put together well or not unless you actually watch the draft, compare to other teams in the league, and understand the full scoring set up of the league.

I had my first draft of the year, and it was chaos. QB's went long before RB's and I believe the entire first round consisted of QBs. Considering I was the 10th pick and that the league is PPR, I decided to bail on QBs altogether and just wait it out..hoping to get a guy like Josh Freeman in the later rounds. With my first 4 picks I grabbed

Jamaal Charles
LeSean McCoy
Larry Fitz
Calvin Johnson

I ended up with both Stafford and Bradford as my QB's and made a few steals late in the draft with guys like Danny Amendola whom I think is going to pull in 100 catches, and a guy in Jamie Harper who I think could explode this year if CJ is traded or just doesnt sign in Tennessee.

I added Witten and Pettigrew somehow at the TE position, and thus have to be happy with my draft overall. Even still its really hard to make any conclusions just yet as preseason isnt even over and you just never know how this league is going to play out.

Of course I think everyone that drafts is always a bit disappointed on the guys they miss out on...I was upset I didnt pull off Josh Freeman and missed out on a lot of guys I targeted for big years such as Dez Bryant, Ray Rice, etc etc.

We gotta get that WF really going....one day....one day

tbh I don't think your bench has as much potential as you think. I like Burleson.

Miles Austin could be fantasy-hindered by Dez who looks pretty amazing. I don't really like McGahee either, he had 1 hot streak last year and that was it.

That is why I said potentials.

McGahee = Goal line back this year. Is he a #1 - 2 back? Nope - but definitely a X spot back.

Chris Johnson holding out till who knows when = Javon Ringer full time.

Arian Foster hurt or benched (both happened last year) = Ben Tate full time.

Austin = 70 catches, 1000+ yards, 7 TD's with NO romo. Yes, please.

Then use one of these fella's and trade up for something.

Also - If I was in your league, I would have drafted differently.

Like he always has been. But with Ray Rice and Joe Flacco (who now has Evans), I wouldn't count on Willis scoring many points.

Chris Johnson holding out till who knows when = Javon Ringer full time.

lol Chris Johnson is not going to hold out forever, the Titans desperately need him and he knows that. He'll get paid.

Arian Foster hurt or benched (both happened last year) = Ben Tate full time.

So you're wasting a bench spot just waiting for Foster to potentially get hurt? And then what, you have an average running back on what will be a pass heavy team at that point? You could be burning a bench spot the entire season for this one.

Austin = 70 catches, 1000+ yards, 7 TD's with NO romo. Yes, please.

With Romo back and Dez Bryant about to have a break out year, I'd expect a pretty even distribution between Austin/Bryant/Witten.

Then use one of these fella's and trade up for something.

Why would anybody trade for a useless player? Unless you get lucky with a bench spot, you're going to be trading bench player for bench player.

He doesn't even play for the Ravens anymore you tard. He plays for the Broncos. If you're going to act like you know what you're talking about at least get the basic facts straight.

Baltimore? mmmmkay.

CJ wants guaranteed QB money. Adding to the fact that Vick JUST signed at 6 years/100 mil (40 guaranteed)... he will wait, just like Logan Mankins did last year for 9 weeks and I will take my 8 points a week and get something more needed.

I'll come back to this thread after I am in the playoffs.

Whoops, my bad. I don't pay attention to below-average running backs and I certainly don't pay attention to horrible teams. I've never drafted a Broncos player and I probably never will.

Here's my team. 12 person league, standard NFL scoring non PPR. I had pick 10 and the RB weren't stud level at that point. Went for WR out the gate and figured I'd go with depth at RB and hope to hit a homerun within the mix.
