This is not question of how much you are making but rather is affiliate marketing a legit way of making a full time living? (10k a month?)

It seems to me that there are plenty of websites out there that are making money by telling people how to make money with affiliate marketing, but can't see how else they are making money other than making money off of people and playing on their emotions (creative copy).

My question is

What is the realistic expectation?
What is the realistic pay?
How saturated is this type of business?

I just started researching and all the big name people are the ones who sell information on the "how to make money as a affiliate marketer" than the other.

Thanks for the honest people who don't mind sharing their experience.

realistic expectation?
-this is like asking how long is a piece of string - depends on how smart you are, how hard you're willing to work and how much money you have to start

what is the realistic pay?
-as realistic as you want it to be

how saturated is this type of business?
-very saturated

based on your questions alone, i can tell you that you dont cut it for this business, please go somewhere else.. thanks
 
there is no money in affiliate marketing

its mostly gambling. Many people lose their homes trying it.
 
affiliate marketing is a death trap. most people lose their jobs in this business. you can only make money if you come from a rich family and have millions to spend... sorry.
 
How well do many people do well physically selling things in traditional brick and mortar businesses?

Expect anything other than a broad answer? If so I'd recommend a career other than business, it's not for you. Your answer should be: I'll make a milli selling paperclips. Go into anything with that mentality and you'll win. Go in with 'gee aw shucks seems hard!' and guess what- I'll win, while you'll probably get your mortgage 'rescued' by the govt.
 
This is a bad, bad business to get into right now. From scratch, I wouldn't even think about it. Go away now
