So I am pretty good with html/css/php etc and have done a lot of reading on the forums, but i guess I am confused about where to start. Do you guys think of a product/service and build a site for that, get it popular in google and then find an affiliate program for that? Or do you find a program, register a .com, build site and populate. I was looking at doing one for FramesDirect which is through Commision Junction but they're asking for a site, how many hits im getting, etc in the registration form...

You've got to start thinking about the product/service that you're site is going to offer. From there, I'm pretty sure you'd be able to build a website that your potential consumers would need.

Thanks, I've got a couple ideas kicking around, do you usually take your ideas and go local? Should I incorporate the city name/town into the domain? Or just in the keywords?

First. turn on your computer. LOL... no but seriously now.

Second. Find a niche, you will love working with for long tedious hours. I pick photos of sexy women for example.

3rd. Work from there, and figure out how to make money from the traffic you are generating. It may be a CPA model as an affiliate. It maybe a CPC model, where you generate so much traffic, you make good money from clicks and advertising.

4th. The build, and keep building...

Somewhere along the line, you start making some monies. re-invest it into your project. and keep growing. I have skipped some steps obviously, but nothing matters if you don't like the niche you are going after, especially if this is your first attempt. Concentrate on something you like and know, and then the internet marketing shit will become easier.

Just my 2 cents.

I like to find a niche that I am interested in. Then check the Adwords keyword tool. Find out if the clicks pay good, judge the competition, and put up an Adsense site.

Adsense is easy to get accepted to unless you live in certain countries. To get accepted easily, apply through Blogger dot com. Then put the code on your money site.

Adsense is super easy, but I'm trying to get away from it right now. It's good to get your feet wet though. And you can start earning pretty quick.

Just in the keywords. Then, I look up on these keywords searches to see they're worth my time and resources.

Do you have a website already? If not, you should build one. It can be your personal website where you post general things including any things related to making money online. I think it would be a good start.

my advice is to choose a niche you really enjoy if possible. If you love something you'll work harder at it!
