I've been spending a lot of my break time on Reddit lately. Although the largest segment of the user base boils my blood with the attention whoring, the moralfagging & white knighting, vapid pun circle jerks, people who actually give a fuck about "karma", and smug liberal arrogance, the format of the site is excellent and its a great way to discover new content. Love Reddit. Hate Redditors.

Pro-tip: I highly recommend the Reddit Enhancement Suite browser add-on. In-line image viewing, see # of upvotes and downvotes (not just cumulative score, subscribe to comment threads, dashboard for your subreddits, and a lot more.

For the uninitiated, one of the coolest features is Subreddits which are basically sub-communities where you can connect with people with common interests or find specific types of content. These are great for getting away from the general annoyances I listed above as you're more likely to find like-minded folks in the comment threads

Here are the ones I'm subscribed to:

r/4chan - for the lolz
r/funny
r/gifs
r/gonewild - chicks posting self-nudes <3
r/houston - there are subreddits for just about every major city
r/howtonotgiveafuck - inspirational
r/libertarian - stay away from /r/politics unless you're a libtard, you will rage hard
r/LifeProTips
r/MLS - Rage9's personal favorite
r/NFL
r/pics
r/ronpaul - waning relevance but still pretty active
r/seduction - mostly omega fucktards but an occasional nugget of gold. Kinda like WickedFire amirite?
r/tinytits - hey, don't judge me
r/videos
r/wtf - from general "wat."s to seriously fucked up shit (gore, weird porn, etc - usually tagged though so you can avoid it if you don't like looking at that stuff)

what subreddits do you frequent?

There goes my productivity!

I installed that RES thing, and it's been better somewhat, I put filter on following:
adviceanimals (morons)
aww (bleh)
trees (fags)
atheism (12 year olds who started to have opinions)
gameofthrones (stupid gif spoilers)
thelastairbender (annoying gifs)
breakingbad (spoilers)
politics (lib faggots)
fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu (stupid kids)

50% of time i hang in r/dota2 the rest go between
2xchromosomes - nobody can tell you more about girls than themselves, shitload of great advice if you know how to look
r/4chan - for laughs
picporn network (ie. r/carporn, r/cityporn)
I also search through r/music here and there for new good stuff

Forgot about my TV subreddits. Warning, if you aren't caught up on these shows there may be spoilers.
/r/Dex
/r/gameofthrones
/r/justified
/r/TheLastAirbender
/r/workaholics
/r/Supernatural

/r/BurnNotice

Music subreddits:
/r/chillwave
/r/FolkPunk
/r/punk
/r/witch_house

Political subreddits that are less likely to drive you insane:
/r/TrueAtheism
/r/Libertarian
/r/LibertarianAtheism
/r/LibertarianDebates
/r/Agorism
/r/Anarcho_Capitalism

and just some highlights:
/r/JusticePorn - Thugs rob gas stations, etc, get fucked up.
/r/NigelThornberry - Nigel Thornberry on everything.
/r/onetruegod - Nicolas Cage on everything.
/r/Bad_Cop_No_Donut - Self explanatory.
/r/GifSound - Gifs /w sound.

I love browsing the SEO subreddit and seeing WF peeps giving great responses.

(looking at you secretagentdad)

The best way to read Reddit is with an iPad and "Alien Blue" app.

I'm not on there as much anymore, just got tired of the repetitiveness.

- "Would you rather fight 1 duck sized horse or 100 horse sized ducks"
- "Hey it's my cake day and here's a pic of my cat"
- pun threads being the top comments

I visit /r/mma and /r/starcraft for news of my hobbies.
