1% CTR seems hard to believe. What was the size of your demographic?

do you guys find it best to have a number of ads targeting the same demo for the same offer? Or do you only have one ad per demo and offer?
The idea is to the find the ad that performs (ctr/epc) the best in that demo and shut the others down as quickly as possible. Facebook will partly make that decision for you though by giving more impressions to the ad that performs best so you'll easily be able to spot which of your ads suck. Then all you have to do is make sure that ad is delivering a profitable epc and your good to go.
So what if you have like 2-3ads all doing well. Would you keep them all or only keep the best one?
Thanks!
I assume by "well" you mean highest profit margin?
In which case yes, pause everything other than your best ad. When your best ad dies, unpause the other ads one at a time and see if they give you similar profitability. It won't always happen. Once you've burnt a demo out with an offer. You might launch a previously good ad and it wont be as great. Just depends on which people clicked on the original ad and how many newer clickers you can get on the newer ads. If you are getting the same clickers on the newer ads then you'll be shafted.
The Secret to this game is to the exhaust the demo by trying to manipulate your ad copy to appeal to as much of the demo as possible. This is partly done through the targetting that facebook allows and partly done via your ad. This is where the skill in facebook marketing lies and where so many fall over (including myself).

Really interesting. Have you ever increased your epcs a lot just by changing the Adcopy of your ads?

Dude, you can't run downloads on Facebook. It's against the TOS.
