Hi,
I've just gone through the mandatory RegisterFly To GoDaddy transfer for
200 domains of mine and I thought I'd share my experience.
As you may know, RegisterFly is no longer ICANN accredited (about time!),
so they seem to have struck a deal with GD to get about 850,000 domains
from RF. Anyway, I received the email from Godaddy about it, and no way
could I get it to work... until I found these instructions on the net;
Webmaster Blog » Blog Archive » RegisterFly Domainers - Don't wait for an email from godaddy !
So, if your having trouble, follow the instructions above exactly and you will
end up with a new GD a/c with all your previous RF domains in it.
The wierd thing about my transfer is that I noticed a good number of
domains that tranfered to GD have a year extra added onto their previous
RF expiration date!!?? This happened to 20 of my domains and I don't
believe I was charged or anything (I never keep my credit card info in GD,
I like to do it manually
). So it seems to me that an error in the transfer
process has occured in my favor!
Has anyone else experienced a glitch like that? Might be worth
checking your expiration dates.
