Registering your site to search engines

I have created a new site and have entered the site on Google's search engine but still I cant look up site using Googles search engine.

How long does it take for these Search engines to crawl your site and is there any better way to register your site to these search engines

Getting linked from a more established site would probably get you listed a lot faster, ie: post a blog comment.

barman is right the fastest way to get included into a lot of the search engines is to get linked from established / high traffic / daily indexed sites.



i have gotten some of my sites indexed in 2 days.

from my experience (which is limited!) it usually takes about a week, 2 max. It can be frustrating waiting...i know! Use that time to test, optimize and add content to your site(s).
