If i cant run anything on the server, what is the point of it? Anything i download, will need to be transferred elsewhere to be used? What am i missing?

Yes, however I will have to install those tools for you.

I can install any programs that you want to use as users are unable to install programs for security purposes. In some cases, users are encoding multiple movies, or using their Remote Desktop for abusive purposes. Under those circumstances, where their actions are affecting everyone on the box, they will be removed.
