Hey guys my friend is having a problem and wants some help. Some douchebag spammed the internet with stupid information about her so now every time you type her name in google you get all sorts of inappropriate results.

Is there a way to trick google into omitting them or removing them for the search results?

I'm thinking if google sees many duplicates of the same content it removes them (no?) but I'm not sure how to go about it.

Any advice?

No google doesn't just remove content if it is duplicate. Where is this info spammed? On his own sites? On facebook?

If its on social networking sites they usually have a way to report abusive behaviour.

If its his own sites or there's no way to remove it on each site it is possible to get sites banned by google, but if there's lots its a pain in the ass.

Yes, it is possible. The last time I did a project for rep-defense like this I charged close to $75,000.

So, you can cut me a check or go learn it yourself.

Pretty sure xmcp or some of the other blackhat guys will back me up on the possibility factor, but I doubt anyone is going to just tell you how to do it in an open forum (partly because it's worth a lot of money, and partly because you don't want every jackass with an internet connection to try pulling it off).

Point taken. I'll see what other alternatives I have, if any.

There are many multi million dollar companies who do this like reputation defender, burson marsteller, the sayre group, weber shandwick, and many seo companies. The thing is it is not cheap with many charging $1,200+ a month for something small going clear up to $50k or so a month. Google those companies or go with an SEO company you already use.

There's the easy way as well

3 easy steps

1. Find where the building is :

2. Find one of these

3. Sit down and enjoy the show

Don't forget the glasses.

Gary, is that you?

^^^ LOL.

What you should do is just publish a bunch of pages with her name in the Title tag. Facebook, LinkedIn, Myspace, and anything else you can think of. Your own sites, etc...

The only thing you can really do is drown out the shit and hopefully push it to 2nd page.

If it's just her name then build out 6-8 sites and out rank them. I have had to do something very similar for this (or still am doing), except the phase pulls up 35 millions results (a little trickier).

^^ it's all good. I just wasn't sure. I would be open ears for other options (that is why I said something).

Thanks for the good (and funny) suggestions guys. I will use the resources ayzo gave to fix this up a bit.

Note to add: It looks like she might be giving me pussy for the favor.
