Anyone want to hear my Rick Astley anecdote? Well tough shit, I'm posting it anyway.
This happened when he was promoting the single that was straight after NGGYU. Picture a dreary Tuesday morning double chemistry class, full of bored (spotty and fat) teenage girls. The teacher is being strangely animated and smiley, but I didn't think anything of it. All of a sudden the door burst open and a deranged kids show presenter bursts in, followed by a camera crew and Mr Rick Astley Esq himself. Maybe they were expecting us to start screaming and jumping up and down, because they went out and did the whole thing again, with our teacher giving us mild threats to make sure we were more enthusiastic to see Rick this time. Someone in the class had won some competition but it had nothing to do with him, so I don't know why they dragged him along.
