RSS reader recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good RSS feed reader. Been struggling with Google's Reader and imo it's utterly shit. Had a look at a few others. Nothing jumps out.

imo it's a mess.

I've downloaded the feedreader desktop app and it looks great.

I use FeedDemon, which is the Windows version of NetNewsWire. It may not be exactly the same, but I think it's pretty close.

If you use Firefox, there's a couple of nice RSS reader plugins - I use 'Brief' mostly, but there's also 'Feedly' which ties in with your Google Reader account.

Never had a problem with Google Read. Eventually setup up feed in Outlook after a few months. One less place to go. Emails and RSS in same place. Better now.

I use Liferea, but it's Linux only. Not sure if that's any use to you though.

I used to really like Sage if you want a Firefox plugin https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/77/

But now I am using Netvibes - Dashboard Everything which is pretty good.

Though I almost exclusively read RSS via G Reader on my phone these days.
