Running Two Skype Sessions At The Same Time

And it works great, even though it's a bit of a memory hog. However...if you shut down your machine, starting Skype again only starts one session, even when you have both of them checked to begin on Windows startup.

Anyone know how to get two or more sessions to start at the same time?

What I mean by that is just fire up the exe with the switch provided in the article you posted. On startup.

Ok, I thought they meant you had to type it in manually every time from the Command prompt. Forgot there was a Run app in the Accessories panel. I slapped that on the desktop and now it's a much quicker process.

Create a batch file that loads the second instance of Skype and put that in your startup.

This still works. I use it everyday and just have 2 skype sessions load up on startup.

Or pin Skype to your taskbar, then add /secondary to the target, if you don't always want both running at the same time.

For mac you just need to run this on Terminal:
sudo /Applications/Skype.app/Contents/MacOS/Skype /secondary

But if you shut down the computer you will have to run the command again.

I'm thirding Multi-Skype.

It's been around for a while and it still works just like it's supposed to work. You can set it to launch multiple accounts when windows starts or set it to manual. It works great. I've been able to run up to 3 sessions fairly easily on a shitty 5 year old acer netbook that has something like 2GB of Ram and a 1.67 single-core. So memory hogging shouldn't be an issue on any decent desktop or laptop.
