Score! Just got an offer for a part time consultant for a new web startup

One of the deans from the management school that I just graduated from referred one of his MBA students to talk with me based on the article that was just written about me. After speaking with him last week and giving him some general advice, he wants to hire me as a part time consultant to help him monetize his site :)

Im considering it more of an opportunity to branch out and get some more contacts, while getting paid to do so. Also, theres some work that I need done that I dont have the ability to do myself so I need to pay someone else to do it for me. So I consider myself breaking even I guess when you factor in the work Im getting paid to do and the work Im paying someone else to do.
 
I think this is a good move.

Hey, congrats on getting into the ITLDP program...just saw that in the article. It's a great company to work for, as far as 'working for the man' goes.

Thanks Thats what everyone has been telling me. When I was interviewing, everyone just seemed so excited and passionate about their jobs and thats the environment I want to be. I had other offers that paid a lot more but money isnt that big of a deal for me right now... I dont have any college loans thanks to my website so Id rather enjoy my 8-5 job than dread waking up every morning.
