I've set up Google AdWords for about 2 days and I don't know if it's just me, but it rarely updates and it's been like this the past day:

Your overall performance* 2,596 impressions 8 clicks $8.00

LOL that's fucking pathetic! I went to bed frustrated and it was like that, and lo and behold, I wake up this morning to the same exact statistic.

Now the funny thing is, I set up AdCenter at like 3 am before going to bed and when I woke up, I had 1 click from Adcenter and I actually made my FIRST SALE today at 10 in the morning :D:D ($32 woot). Now since I still can't figure out how to set up prosper202 I don't know which keyword and from which PPC service this sale converted.

But that's beyond the point. I think I'm losing hope with Google. What do you guys think?

Have you tryed:

Different ADs?
Looking a bit closer at your position from the AD?

Some frequently used search keywords are not vaible for marketing.

"Get free acai berry" will most likely have quite a few searchs/day but you will not see someone clicking ads...

But i really really really hope you start setting up prosper202 or w/e you want to use for monitoring. Its essentially....

I've been asking everywhere and posting my issue with prosper202 but to no avail. My affiliate manager won't even respond to me, I'm waiting for the guys at the prosper202 forums to respond, and I've asked here and received an answer, but am still confused as fuck.

I too really need to know whats converting or not so I can fine-tune my campaign... but I don't want to lose out on potential sales by pausing them until I figure out prosper202

Well, I mean, I've only made one sale to date (today) and I'm figuring someone will be able ot help me out with my prosper202 tracking set up within 2 days, by the latest.. so it's not like I'm planning on running this entire campaign without tracking.

If you need some help with Prosper PM me, I might be able to help. I finally got mine setup and tracking correctly.

Funny, I am thinking of moving from acenter to adwords and in fact as we speak I am redoing my landing pages so they might have a chance in google.

Adcenter for me anyway has sweet fuck all traffic. Probaby my noobness has something to do with it but for real short tails, like "ink" for example there is surprisingly little impressions.

Its annoying I had prepared a huge list of long tails, spent hours doing it, and have barely got a single impression on any of them never mind a click.

Only good thing is they have extremely lax accpetance criteria. Ive been direct linking some stuff and not even a hint of dissaproval. I think MSN/BING/LIVE whatever, are just desperate for cash.

Bit like myself...

AdWords has been an utter failure for me. In the past 3 days I've received 8 clicks, and in the past 2 hours, 2 new impressions.

AdCenter, on the other hand, has given me 11 clicks in the past twelve hours.

I dunno wthell is up with AdWords. Either my AD isnt getting displayed, or that shit updates every few hours or something, cuz my impressions are always stagnant as I refresh every hour, then finally the impression count will have risen by TWO after having refreshed about 20 trillion times.

My keywords are exactly the same as well.

Are you bidding high enough? Are you bidding on enough keywords? If I start my bids too low I get few impressions, so I start them high and move them down a couple times a day until they reach profitable levels while I delete the adgroups that get no impressions or a bad ctr. So I start with a ton of keywords (related of course, but you never know what will convert so start with a lot then trim it down).

Also check the quality score of your keywords and ads. If it's low, then your minimum bids will be high and you won't be able to get cheap clicks.

So I upgraded to the standard edition and I found that all, except 5 keywords, have a quality score of POOR. The other 5 are OKAY. FAIL.

I've figured that it's because my landing page isn't up to par. It's too essay-ish and doesn't really incorporate my keywords, so I'm gonna edit the post I made and see where that takes me.

Okay I've edited my site to include as many keywords as possible, hopefully that increases my QS.

As for my bidding price, I set it to $3, do you think that's too high?

Try different ads, keywords & dynamic text on Google. Also, give it some time. Because Google is more competitive, it is a bit harder to see results. You'll almost always do better on MSN than Google, but there is more traffic on Google. Also, Google doesn't update their satistics quite as quickly as MSN does. So, stick with it...you're doing great!

prosper will respond much quicker for the amount of click thrus you are getting. Obviously not so for impressions, but if you need to know if an ad is even running, propser is the way to go.

If you use the downloadable Google Adwords Editor it will give you 1 to 10 rankings for quality score.

The Poor - OK - Good shit in the normal interface is almost worseless.
