Hey, I just spent the last hour trying to find a scraper that would extract text from websites. I found web data extractor at webextractor.com and downloaded the demo. Trouble is, the damn demo doesn't let me see what text it extracted. It looks like it would do a good job but why not let the fucking demo show me the goods. Anyone recommend something for this task? I'd like to put in a website URL and have the scraper go to town on the site grabbing all the text on all the pages without the html, etc. I also found this... and thought it was interesting... www.kwintessential.co.uk/translation/website-scraper/index.php
I wouldn't mind something like that either, but not something that only does a single page at a time. Any help you can offer about some script or software that you know of... will be appreciated. Thanks, ez
