I am looking into setting up an eCommerce to sell some replica goods like hair straighteners etc.

How does the law stand in that regard and are there any hosting providers that would allow this?
 


A good host would just forward the cease and desist to you rather than pulling the plug on your site. Lots of hosts will just pull the plug at the drop of a dime.

Law depends 100% on where you are. Most of the time it's not a criminal matter, you'll be sued for intellectual property rights, trademark infringement, etc. However you can also be charged by the police for replica stuff if you're big enough and worth their time. The best thing you can do IMO do avoid making it a criminal case is use a dropshipper and not ship to people in your country.

I'll host for ya. I sell email lists, have my own servers and business internet. Just don't reg your domain name with godaddy. They can and will "administrative suspend" your domain name, make you pay $150 to be able to transfer it to another registrar... I now use bulk register. No problems.

how are you planning on handling returns? thats another thing you need to keep in mind, if you get big and have a ton of returns sitting in your basement, you can get in trouble like that as well. at the very least send your returns to a PO box and then put them in storage.
