hey backlinkgurus,

i'm doing some comparative analysis between your tracking and raven seo tools, and i'm getting some differences in positions. i'm checking the italian google, would you like me to mail your generated report and the raven report in order to further analyze the problem ?

WE'RE NEVER WRONG. :)

What sort of discrepancies are you seeing? Judging from raven tools twitter feed, the rankings pulled in from there are rarely (if ever) correct.

You might want to update the lite plan on the pricing page since this plan doesn't offer white labeling.

Fixed thanks.

well, for example:

google.it -> miglior conto corrente
Raven says: 9th position
seoscout says: 12th position.
What i see: 9th position

google.it -> tassi conti correnti
raven says: 7th position
seoscout says: 4th position.
what i see: 7th position

Every time i've manualy checked the position i've done it from a different browser in incognito mode. That won't prevent google from messing up the results (i can't change the IP for example) but it's usually enough to get neutral results.

I'm not trying to make you look bad, out of the 10 keywords on the free version, most of them are reported at the same position of raven, those two were the most "weird".

Seeing similar strange things. SeScout is telling me the position is 12 and 13 on Google.be, but I'm seeing it on position 5.

I am having some difficulties today. I wasn't able to log in for awhile. Now I look at a domain and it's google rank in the dashboard it is (for example of a site) 12 when I send a report it's a google rank of 22 in report.

Is this just a glitch with mine or anybody else?

Thanks

For the record, SEScout is so powerful my "Gathering Bing statistics (up to 1 hour)" has been running for at least a week now.

SO POWERFUL IT TAKES OUT THE SUN. But then it gets too cold, so it makes ANOTHER sun. DOUBLE SUN POWERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Okay, I'm fricking giggling - same for my bing results though besides the double sun thing .

Our host had some downtime earlier today it appears ~20 minutes or so. Looking into the reports right now. Are you referring to the PDF or email ones?

Bing results for certain domains are refusing to update. We're actively looking into this. Expect a fix soon.

anyone's site rankings gong bananas? Mine are all over the place and some completely tanked last night - no G penalty from what I can see. Just dive bombed off the chart.

SEscout simply scrapes search engines. Some times there may be a ranking discrepancy based on how google modifies the results with sitelinks, local results, maps etc. So what SEscout collects is EXACTLY what a typical users would see when they search for your keyword.

Now take that in to consideration with the fact that Google results are not static. They change minute by minute across thousands of data centers. Most sites are not firmly positioned but constantly moving. Google does rolling data center updates so during position changes, you will see huge fluctations in rankings. In those cases it can seem like SEscout is doing "strange things". No one ever seems to remember that google is doing strange things all of the time lol The whole reason for a serp tracker is because google is always doing strange things lol

If there is a specific ranking issue.. send us an email with the exact details and we will investigate. Blanket statements about ranking issues are hard for us to look into and we really need specifics. Most reported ranking issues are just normal fluctuations.

I wasn't pointing a finger at SEScout. Just voicing my frustration. I did spend extra efforts over he past few days with backlinking and this is probably G trying to figure out what the heck is going on Just gotta keep on keepin on.
I expect all to be back soon.
On a positive note - Alexa is back and i am much higher.
