Should I bother with RSS for my blog?

I'm making a lazy attempt at launching a blog (http://www.stanleyshilov.com/) and I wanted to know if it's worth the time to implement RSS?

I'm using my own CMS so if I want to add RSS I'll need to configure it manually.
Are users more likely to come back if RSS is available?
I don't maintain any other blogs so it's a bit of a new area for me.

Also, if anyone wants to do a link exchange then let me know.
It's going to be a (mostly) technical blog with some random marketing ideas mixed in.

oh okay. I don't really care about that, I don't plan to blog about other blogs and it doesn't matter to me if someone blogs about mine.
I'll add RSS though, I guess it's more important than I thought.

If you don't have a feed, you're missing out on opportunities for link building and traffic, including RSS directories and blog networks.

Also, since your blog covers technical subject matter, your readers will (hopefully) know what a feed is and expect you to have one.

Very true, you can get into a lot more search directories with RSS and you'll be able to cash in on some more traffic, it might not turn out to be your #1 source of traffic but its still a good source to tap into.
