And so is bitcoin.....

Anyone else have alarm bells screaming to spend every dollar they have on these precious metals?

Got my attention as well recently.

How are you guys playing gold and silver?
- ETFs
- shares of miners
- bullion / coins
- something else

Oh hey look these things are worthless now so let's go buy a bunch (?!?)

Lol wtf. No. Don't buy a bunch of shit that nobody wants. You've got it backwards. Bro do you even invest? You gotta buy stuff when it's the MOST valuable, not the LEAST valuable, how is that not obvious to people?

can't tell if you're serious.

I invest avidly and I don't try to guess the bottoms on stocks or metals, instead I wait for a bottom to form and i wait for a certain signals that the price is headed upward. But in the long term, I do like silver and gold. Especially silver.

Unlike gold, silver has many industrial uses (including in the making of solar panels) and therefore demand goes beyond aesthetics and simply being a precious metal

So, considering you're not trolling, you're saying that investing in BTC when it was worth pennies/coin was a bad investment? Do you even invest bro?

Always take physical posession. Silver Eagles are my first choice. Have started to dip a toe into gold. I try to buy a set dollar amount every month so price doesn't matter much. Silver will likely be over $20 after the elections and before end of year. So I'm def stocking up.

I also have been buying mining stocks for a few years. I have an auto plan which buys them every 2 weeks. I pay more commissions vs once a month but it disciplines me.

I have nothing against etfs, but I just don't trust them (or the people behind them).

^^^ If you're in the US, take note that silver and gold bullion coins are taxed at 28%. They're classified as collectibles even if they aren't collectible.

Physical precious metals are in a special tax category, designated in the Internal Revenue Code as collectibles. The 15% (in 2012) capital gains rate does not apply to collectibles. However, the 28% (in 2012) collectibles rate is a maximum and your rate may be lower, depending on your ordinary income tax rate.

In before Grunin confirms his position to buy, followed by bitcoin, silver, and gold plummeting to zero within three days.

silver has more industrial uses than Gold because it's a hundredth of the price.

Gold is only used when cheaper alternatives don't exist. Once gold is used for something, it won't be replaced. claiming that gold has no value is just an elaborate way of screaming "i have never paid attention in chemistry and and don't understand economics".

Gold won't go away.

It's a shame.

Kind of debating where/when to get in.

Most of my coins are seminumismatic or numismatic. I've never been too heavy into non-numismatic silver (As it's completely vunlerable to the whims of large banks who like to control silver).

At some point I want to buy a few thousand of 90% or ASEs, but I don't know when.
