So I'm looking to allow people to upload files to my site. Does anyone know of a slick file uploader that allows people to drag and drop files from their desktop folders onto a web browser box and upload them that way? I feel like I've seen this before.

Or hell, if anyone can point me in the direction of the one that facebook uses that allows users to browse their computers folder structure and select which documents they upload, that would be fine too.

Thanks,
-Chris

Until someone can get you something more exact, here are a couple of links for you to check out.

This link has a free Lite version for PHP that you can download and try out.

This link deals with FF & Google Wave dragging and dropping files into the browser for upload.

P.S. Yes, I Googled it because I don't have any sites using this and was intrigued by the thought thanks to your post.

Thanks for the post. I also googled it too and wasnt able to find exactly what I was looking for. Maybe I dreamed of the functionality that I wanted?

Well, most everything we have started as just an "Idea" that someone put effort behind and then it became a reality.

Maybe hire some programmer to create it and then sell it.
