Smoke Breaks

I'm not talking about bars, but family type places with kids. It's hard to enjoy a meal when some fool is blowing smoke all over the place.

it's hard for me to enjoy a drink at a bar with smoke all over the place. i'm glad that is illegal in my state.

Depends on how much Adderall I'm on, how excited/wired I am, how stressed out I am, or the social environment.

I typically smoke 1 pack every 2-2.5 days on average. Lately it's been 1 pack every 1.5 days. I don't smoke indoors though, so as the brutal NY winter approaches, I actually smoke a hell of a lot less because I don't like feeling my fingers freeze as I hold the cigarette.

You can only quit if you really want to, just like with any other type of addiction. It's completely up to you. I quit last year for 3 months, but started again because I missed it.

I have a feeling I'll be quitting for good in 2007 because I want to start playing ice hockey competitively again, and as good of a goalie that I had been, there's no way I have the stamina with these cigarettes now.

I don't smoke, but I'm not really against smoking as a whole. My sister smokes due to high level of stress and it's not like telling her to stop would prevent her from smoking.

As for restaurants, make sure you sit in the non-smoking area if you don't smoke :p.

Smoke cigars instead.
I've been thinking of switching.

Side story:
This girl that was in my English 101 class went to China drank their water or something and got insane constipation. Her sister thats a nurse told her to have a smoke to get things moving. Shes been hooked since, but at least she got to shit.

I smoke like a fiend, but have been tossing around the idea of quiting before my lungs do.

I have a good friend that is a recovering alcoholic and smoker, an older guy, but he tells me sense quiting the booze and smokes about 10 years ago he really has no urges for booze, but he still craves a smoke a few times a day.

Dont you find it funny that the most addictive and destructive drugs in our society are legal?

A heroin addict can quit doing dope after being strung out for years and have no real adverse health effect (unless the junkie got AIDS or some shit), but you smoke and drink for a few years of your life and you end up pickling your heart, liver, kidney's, brain ....... !!??

^Me neither, and sometimes I find it quite disturbing if somebody smokes in restaurants and bars, because I get easily irritated by the smoke.
