Alright so I'll break my posting cherry by asking a pretty lame ass question, whatever.

I'm looking at all these different affil network sites, and they're all like, hey you need some bitchin webpage with lots of visitors to sign up with us. So...... what's the deal with that? I don't have a site or anything, I was planning to make a couple sites to promote the affil products and all that hooplah, but why would I have a site yet if I don't know what I'm gonna be promoting. Yougetwhatimean?

Am I going about this all ass backwards? I just need one of you sewper smart fellows to hold my hand and guide me in the right direction, kthxbai

EDIT:
what the fuck I already had a post? great. FML

Because by being skeptical motherfuckers they might miss out on my amazing super-talents and muhnies. And my mom told me I was special, when I was younger... So naturally I should be making my $53,507.32 per month pretty soon :D

Find some peeps on the forum... and sign up through their referral links. They'll help you with getting approved.

just make a personal site or something to show off your skills. then give them a call after u send ur application. let them know you're going to be promoting through ppc

I'm kind of in the same boat. However, I do have a site, but I'm doing business very high up in the food chain for this site, so I'm not really looking for a better paying offer.

I'd love to try a new market and affiliate network (heard some good stuff about ads4dough). So if anyone has a referral link and could possibly help me get approved, I'd be very thankful.

Cheers!

You don't need a site. Just put Google in the website field or whatever.

Tell them you're a PPC rinse and repeater and you don't wanna be outing no landing pages. You might come off as a pompous dickhead, but they'll know that you're not from DP.

I personally would rather see you put in google.com and say that you do PPC rather than make a quick scraper site like all the chinese do... Just make your case when they contact you for approval on the phone, and if you don't hear from them in a day or two get proactive and call or email them to get the ball rolling. The main thing you need to do is prove that you are who you say you are, not necessarily that you are an affiliate baller already. Most networks will work with you even if you are a noob.

the networks are right imo. you should concentrate on making a few solid sites with good content and some value.

read up about niche research, build, then monetize with something like amazon and adsense for now. learn your chops.

unless you plan to sink several thousand into PPC (tuition fee), don't build sites around specific offers for now. try to think in terms of timeless subjects and the basic needs all people have. you can always integrate the flavour of the month CPA offer later once you get some traffic.
