So who's moving to Liberland?

Who will print the money?

Oh, I'll take care of the money and economy. No problem there. Someone else can build the roads and plant the daises.

He only has 7sqkm of land though. I think we might have to invade Serbia or Croatia soon, and grab some more land.

On the official page, there is a donation option. You can also pay for the citizenship if you want to. It's just like any other viral site that sells virtual/non-existent product. He will probably pocket a nice chunk of change from certain idealists, so props to him. But to be real, if your president can be removed from its position with a riot water cannon, odds are that you don't really have a legitimate country.

At this moment Croatia has the most territorial disputes in Europe (List of territorial disputes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Take a better look and you will see that all the disputes are among the ex-yugoslavian countries (bosnia, montenegro, serbia and slovenia) that once used to have no border controls just like EU today. It mainly serves as a right wing circlejerk tactic before the elections to create tensions.

Here is the island of big skolj, one of the disputed territories:

Galerija: Na Velikom

It was later "attacked" by bosnian journalists. They wrote: "After lightning quick action, journalists have managed to plant the flag with great difficulties due to lack of space. Bosnians are overjoyed with the new conquered territory! This will solve all our problems with unemployment, hunger, low standards, misery and corruption!"

So you can see how it is considered a joke among the normal people. There are 604 islands and islets in Croatia, 1246 including the smaller rocky islands. You can just buy it for yourself and they come with guarantee that they will not sink soon like those in Bahamas :).

PLUS
- state is in floodplain area
- mosquitoes

Without too much looking into it, I can safely assume it's dangerous to live there.
Not because of crimes etc. But the years spent there are years where you've been away from your land and, having paid no taxes, means no investment will ever be maid, no pension scheme etc.

In a manner of speaking, I don't think this will truly work like an independent state. It will probably work like an in-between state.
