Social Ad Spy - Beta Testers Needed

Nobody would pay 1k a month, it cost me 200$ to get a scraper programmed on my own and its all automated. Takes like 10 minutes a week to keep working correctly.

You also have to worry about maintaining 1000 accounts, all with different demographics. Having tried doing this(on a smaller scale) I can tell you that maintaining these accounts and making a scraper that can't be identified as a scraper is much harder than it looks.


You guys had better get bulletproof hosting for this outside the US though- Facebook is sure to come after this with a vengeance.

you dont need 1000 accounts lol

unless you are building accounts with a keyword each..which would take a long ass time

you are gonna run into to problems with FB.. are you using dedicated proxies for each account?

I would delete this thread and use the people that already subscribed to test it and just sell it by word of mouth. Unless you want FB to love you forever for making them a tad richer

The whole idea of this is ludicrous, and yes I have been approached several times by various individuals to do the same thing. To me it came down to one thing: It simply won't be worth the legal battle you will be engulfed in.

I wish you the best of luck, but this is the type of thing that should be kept to private development and usage IMHO.

I had one coded by a proffessional coder all, database driven. However it also has a function which logs into each fb account, updates interests, gender, location on the fly. Pretty pointless having a scraper that doesnt do this.

Since the beta is coming soon I wanted to ask how exactly you were planning to keep this service under the radar. If it's on this forum, there's no doubt Facebook and POF(especially POF) know about it.

One suggestion: Don't enable users to click through ads. They won't be able to see landing pages, but you're also eliminating potential for click fraud, which is a big reason FB went after similar tools in the past.

What, you think just because I bumped this thread FB will suddenly find out about it and shut it down? Get real, if they wanted to keep it private or secret they wouldn't have launched it in this manner on a public forum.

I got their email about the beta, that's what reminded me to post in this thread.
