anyone use this? how is it? i heard it's really good for cheap clicks but horrible conversions.

It's harder to convert than facebook social ads in my opinion. The text ads in socialmedia almost always get clicked on by mistake.

airbball - I'm actually in the process of checking them out myself. Sent them in the contact form request for info... waiting to hear back.......

You don't have to send in a request form, you can signup yourself.

I think their US traffic is shitty, but that's not the only country they serve ads to.

I convert lead campaigns at about the same % as facebook ads.

If you get clicks by mistake, then it's time to revise your ad copy and make your action button say something different.

Their ad delivery system has a serious exploitable flaw which is bad for publishers but good for advertisers.

But ya, someones probably going to steal your password and blow your budget, so stay away from social media!!!

I haven't had much luck pretty much breaking even... the thing with social media is you will most likely have a very bad roi. However with the volume you can achieve you can usually end up making a pretty penny. It was very hard for me to even get something going that broke even... so I pretty much gave up since adwords and facebook is a lot easier imo

It's never been profitable for me as an advertiser, although I came close to breaking even a few times. As an app developer, I like them cause I make some money from the ads on my apps on facebook and myspace.

Glad somebody posted about this because new thread creation scares me.

I've had WILDLY varying ROI with social media. One day, I spend 50 and make 70 back. Great. The next day, I spend 200 and only make 70 back. Not a thorough test at all, but enough to convince me that Social Media's too variable to be worth it.

thanks for the heads up... just joined.

Yeah, extremely varying ROI for me too. Can go from doubling money to losing money easily.

Use subid tracking to determine what times of day have the best ROI then setup my campaign pause and resume script to only run your campaigns those times of the day.

Have articles on both on teh blog.

what is the flaw? can someone PM me so I can evaluate whether I need to take the ads off? Has anyone contacted anyone at socialmedia?

Their targeting SUCKS - non US clicks galore and canned responses when you ask them about it. I gave up on them rather quickly.

i hear the same, you are going to have to play with your offers, try really easy to convert offers targeted towards teens/young adults
