Hey everyone - I'm a noob here, found this site a few days back and started
learning about PPC arb and set up a few sites. I'm breaking even right now
but I had a few questions regarding it (i can't seem to find the answers to
these on the other 'noobie help wanted threads')...
1)How can you find what the Click payout on adsense actually is? Today i
had a click which only paid me 28 cents when the keywords I targeted in 7serach all have CTR of $3+ in adsense! How do I determine how much Adsense will pay for my clicks? I wouldn't mind paying 25 cents to make $3 a click- but if I'm only getting 28 cents then I'd keep my cap at 6 or 7 cents!
2) For outlier keywords in 7search, does it make sense to bid 6 cents on the keywords even if you are the highest bid by far? What I mean is- does 7search cap the bid at 6 cents, but if the next highest bid is 1 cent, have me pay 2 cents- with 6 cents as a cap?
3) Which search engines does 7search list your ads on? I would like to be
able to search for my topic and make certain that my ad is coming up...
4) When adding thousands of keywords to your keyword lists, how are these
keywords targeted enough to your page to keep users clicking? Or are you
guys only talking about more general topics to which lots of keywords are
relevent? For example - a specific health care problem, well you couldn't
really put keywords not related to it, right?
5) This is important to me- how do I know if I am being smart-priced? is there a threshold that Google uses? I have a 66% click through rate
(noob here- just started a few days back) but of course I clicked to check
up on how things were looking quite often (while at my 9-5 job, at home,
and elsewhere- so my IP was different each time- I didn't click on ads
though)... now my stats look like this:
Page impressions 217
Clicks 20
Page CTR 9.22%
Page eCPM $30.46
Earnings $6.61
Is this enough to be smart priced? I really should only have 40 or so clicks and a 66% CTR... I haven't clicked on ads myself, so thats the correct earnings.
You can check out one of my starting sites:

How is the layout? (yes I am using the web 2.0 banner site
)
Thanks for looking- Hopefully I'll learn enough on here soon to give back!
