I want to set up a demo site for a local business of mine but don't want to buy a domain especially since I have no idea if they'll want to buy the site. I'll take any domain .com, .net, etc but please nothing regarding porn or illegal activities. That would just look unprofessional.

i wlll be back in a while just going to get a prepaid to order some domains, you can use one for a short while -do you have your own hosting or using mine?

Just find a $0.99 godaddy coupon if $7.99 is too much to waste. I thought I saw one posted here recently. 
You could just use one of the free dynamic IP services, no-ip.com or such, and set up your site at brokeonline.no-ip.com or whatever

I wonder why no one provided him the hammer link for getting the free domain. Or is that link only shared among premium members ?
yea i set him up name server changes can take a while, so u should have full access within a few hours max i believe
