I went on to the irc room about 2 mins ago and just wanted to say that I apologized to the whole room/channel of whom I may have wrongfully banned or bashed. You can IM me on AIM if you think you were unjustfully banned or accused of something.
I am sick of fighting about this nonsense. It does absolutely no good for anyone, at all.
Chrislingle - the email you sent me is all about personal stuff really, and I'm not going to be answering it. I put a lot of thought into it, and when it came down to making my decision, I just couldn't put myself up to it, otherwise I would just be feeding the fuel of this lynch mob type of drama. Put yourself in my position and ask yourself, would you answer that if you were me? Probably not. If you think otherwise, you know how to contact me and you yourself can ask whatever you like and expect an honest answer from me. I don't ask you personal stuff, so please respect my privacy and don't ask me. I value our friendship and your honesty too in general, and that's why I don't want to lose you as a friend or peer at all. You were a lot of fun to hang out with in Vegas and I look forward to doing the same in Miami.
I've banned six people over the weekend for a reason, and they will not be unbanned unless they can either promise they will behave/change their lynch mob approach towards me or anyone else on the forum. I've given some of them chance after chance, and they never seem to take it seriously or show they are interested in changing, so the decision on it is final.
I had a long discussion with the mods and admins here and we will be going in a new direction, or rather, the original direction in which WickedFire was made. The quality of the content here has been lacking for a while now, and it's our new goal, as a team and as a community to spruce it up and go back to it's original plan. I'm really thankful for having such a great staff, and without them, I'd be dead in the water for sure. Thank you again to the entire WF staff and crew here. They really do want change here, and in light of the drama that's been going on, I finally do see the light.
From today on I won't be making any new hypes, accusations, bashing threads, linkbaits or promises of new sections or amazing things to come. Instead, we will come out with news of it AFTER it is done or within 24-hours of it's launch.
Again, it's tough for me to do this, but I'm doing it because I genuinely care about the direction of this place and don't want anymore drama or accusations coming my way, or anyone else's way for that matter. Things may never go back to "the way it was" but I am much more confident that the plans we've drawn up today look a hell of a lot better and will hopefully get this place back to where it was a few months ago. A place of information and a place where friends can come and hang out with one another and discuss whatever is on their minds.
This whole thing has been more of a learning experience than anything else, and maybe I have been too involved or angry at certain people and let it effect my judgement, and again, I'm sorry for it.
If you have something of value to add, go for it. If you're just going to bring up negative shit or drama, well, leave it to yourself or IM me, because there is no more room for it here. I think we can all agree, it's time to move on and get back to work. This shit got out of hand, and it's been a whirlwind of a shitstorm that neither I nor anyone here on staff wants to deal with anymore. Being part of WickedFire means having fun on the side, but also being an active contributor. I haven't done much of that myself lately, and I think it's time I start doing more of it.
