Squidoo backlinks?

Hi all,

So I've put up quite a few lenses in my niche, all manually rewritten content based loosly on posts in my emd. They've been up for a good week or so and have had likes and even some comments posted on one of them. I've also managed to get some people clicking from them to my site.

However, I've done a couple of backlink checks with different sources and none of them are saying that I've got any backlinks from squidoo at all. I didn't think the squidoo links were nofollow? Am I wrong?

I know I'm a kinda newbie but I had hoped my backlinks even in my squidoo profile or the rss feeds i'd put in posts would count for something? I've searched about in here and everyone seems to think squidoo lenses are good for seo... i presumed this was because of the backlinks and helping with google but am I mistaken?

Make sure the lenses are indexed. I think I heard something about them making them noindex unless they become popular or meet some kind of criteria.

Yes that's correct.

I'm also putting in squidoo lenses and unless you got around 4 pages of lenses it won't get indexed. also a couple of views like 20+ views will make the lenses INdexed. Otherwise just go with hubpages. less stricter rules
