Hey guys,

I really need to be pointed to where the starting block is for affiliate marketing.

I am interested in getting involved in the bueiness and I'd like to better understand how it works, and where I can start to get it going.

Thanks

Pete DeBurgh

Step 1: Post this in the newbie section.

Step 2: Ask there and people will answer, instead of flaming you for posting in the wrong section.

Step 3: ???

Step 4: Profit.

For the love of all the angels in the heaven, try building a website.
To start.

Google or the search here on this bbs, is your friend in your quest for knowledge.

Run through a 30 day challenge in a couple days and make a shitty little site that makes you 5 bucks a month. You'll learn something. Don't stop there though.

Ok, this thread is retarded but I'll give you a tip anyway:

Go to Ezinearticles.com, and read some articles in some popular categories like Health, Electronics, Self-Improvement, and Finance.

Skim the articles, and click the links in the author resource box at the bottom. Look at the webpage you land on, and try to understand how that webpage makes money. What kind of ads, what kind of affiliate link, etc.

Then you will kind of understand what this business is.

Then go read the sticky threads.

I'm a newb too, and that sounds like solid advice. Thank you for actually answering with a task that will help the learning process.
