Have we all become so dumb that we need info so dumbed down for consumption?

Why do we need to be splattered with constantly changing visuals to absorb information like this?

Why do we need to look at fancy animated text which read exactly the same thing as the narration?

I find this more distracting than a benefit, and so I decided to just minimise the windo and just listen to the audio, and it hit me. The guy is narrating the info like he's talking to a 14 year old. very little substance behind the words.

Why has it come to this?

Had to stop it at 9:39 because his hypothesis of "as a child your needs, your preferences, your desires were NEVER taken into account" is complete BS. Yeah a parent will not sit down with you and fill out a feedback form, but parents certainly attune to their child's behaviour and don't treat them as slaves for god's sake. The motivation of a parent is not to command a slave but - usually - to do what's best for the child and since a child's mind is still developing and generally pretty stupid you have to sometimes ignore wtf they are saying and put your judgement above theirs.
