Stupid Backlink question

Hi Everyone I am new in SEO

When I search on google of backlink on my site I use

link:site
or
links:site

What are the different. I login to google webmaster they use link:site

I have the problem of link:site I found 6 link to my site

I use links:site I found 1000+ link to my site, what are the different ?
 


I submit lot of directory in this year, and i only have 6 link, I don't know why will this happen?

If i understand you correctly. you have been link building with directories. and only 6 links are showing up. If that is the case, It takes time for links to come through, and only a percentage will count. You might want to check in yahoo how many links are coming through. in the search type linkdomain:site.com
This might be a little more accurate, ive noticed that yahoo updates a little quicker then google. (well thats my experence) You might want to try doing linkexchanges if you want. but that will show a lot of outbound links on your site. There are tons of ways to get good links quickly.
 
yahoo show 300 links ,
the google show 6 link 2 link is from my site and the other 4 is just a signature from other forums
 
Links take time to appear on Google link: command and they show only a fraction. What you need to do to find out more is to use Webmaster Tools.
