they say there's no such thing as a stupid question, but this probably is

can I setup a 301 redirect for my page to send the visitor directly to ebay using my cj affiliate link?
and - if the user buys something 2 weeks later, will I be given credit?

As long as your domain doesn't have a TM in it (which I doubt it does :)) you can redirect.

Cookie for new members is 30 days, existing members is 7.

I would be a little leery of that just because of the copyright issues. Just e-mail them via cj and ask.

It seems like they pretty much do what you want.

Someone on another forum had a $32k payment witheld and his account terminated for redirecting TM'd domains to ebay.

From the first line of the T&C:

(1) eBay Trademarks. You will not use in your domain name or URL.

I wouldn't risk it.

Would it be easier to just get a new domain? You can get .info's for like $1.45 through hostway.

no you see it's not about that, I wouldnt mind getting another domain (even thou I bought this one last night)
but users will see the domain and think it's related to ebay, so they are more likely to click.. because of two reasons
a) visitors are stupid
b) the domain has the world 'ebay' and 'auctions' in it

I'm going to do a double 301 redirect and see what happens
