Man, I'm pretty pissed off right now. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but you may occasionally find that Technorati will rank higher than you in Google for a blog post that YOU originally did!

Sometimes, you blog won't even rank at all, while Technorati sits back and collects the page views (and gives you a very tiny, faint link to your site)

Has anyone else noticed this? I'm using wordpress and have deleted all my blogs from my technorati account and my posts are still showing up on their site. I've deleted my ping list as well.

Amazing how many people use Technorati when it is nothing more than a scraper site.

Hmm... maybe I will make a blog and scrape technorati. :D
 


To be fair, I might be overreacting about this... but...maybe not.

I think it could be that newer blogs get outranked by technorati (even though they are doing it with your content). Perhaps when your blog has been around for a little while this doesn't happen.

Regardless, they are not much more than a big scraper site...
 
They are good for some nice traffic, but you are totally right, it's nothing more than a huge scraper disguised as some premium service for bloggers.

Don't worry about it!

A Technorati link is good!

Hell, I have blogger blogs, wordpress blogs, squidoo pages, etc, that outrank the sites that they are supposed to be helping. It's all good.

Just bask in the link love and keep at it.
