Can ANYONE explain the facebook invasion (all the reps, the unsolicited PM's, the supposed facebook rule loosening, etc.)

Someone mentioned that myspace recently stomped Facebook earnings wise...?
This is all too strange...
 


They're paid on commission and most of them figured out about 80-90% of the big spenders are from this forum, so they're trying to get people to use them as their reps so they get paid more.
 
What about the supposed rule changes? I cant get skin images in, or recently banned subjects in (tones, crush etc). Sure if I redirect/cloak etc I can get porn or whatever else in, but going through the facebook front door? Nada.
 
none of my ads got approved and that was for ringtones... so im not seeing any of the changes yet...
 
Not only that but the facebook spammer who PM'd me disabled PMs so I can't PM them back.

I tried advertising with Facebook once and NONE of my ads were approved.

I got my ringtones approved a blew through my daily budget without any conversions, save your time and money....
 
Thinks will calm down in a month or so.

We can all blame Jon for the increase in crazyness this past week since he was the one who reported the rule changes and got everyone going nuts that they are now allowing the profitable things they didn't use to.

The reps sent out an email as well, so doesn't really matter in the end.

You gotta figure that if they round up just 30-40 guys on this forum capable of spending $10-30k a day with FB that's an extra $36,000,000 in potential monthly revenue....

I haven't had a single ad denied. I've even made some blatantly obvious ones that included the word "ringtones" in the copy. Maybe yours are just too ridiculous, or your rep is a tool.
 
Once again... FB intern or actually internal is totally messed up. Not everyone gets the memo when changes come through:

I cant think of a better site to spam than WF if I was a FB rep...

Its more of a "why" did FB change the rules though... Theres a reason-wish a senior FB rep would sound off here....
And its still as inconsistent as it ever was. Most peeps here on WF arent idiots..they are submitting decent ads/images etc, yet arent getting thru while others are...meaning some interns are still dumbasses.

And at the end of the day, submitting on FB isnt really an issue. Aside from images, most ads can get squeezed into FB if you know what youre doing...the real trick is converting. Very few offers convert well in scale on FB

I haven't noticed any change at FB. My ads are getting disapproved at a rate of about 50-1 like they always have. No wait, there have been a couple of changes: 1) ads take longer to get disapproved now. 2) rates have gone up a lot. Forget about anything in the US.

So all these "improvements" at FB have made really ended up making everything worse for advertisers. But thanks guys for the email allowing everyone to get excited for a few days. But as always, it comes down to the same thing: They're totally full of shit at FB.

I asked my acct rep sometime back why people were getting acct reps and such.. He said some new guy they brought in from Google had made some changes.. etc..
