I requested my line to be upgraded from 2mbps to 7mbps, ok they did upgrade it, I can see the line is 7mbps from the router panel but it won't work...

the support girl told me that 'my configuration might have been deleted from the server'...what the fuck are you talking about?

how the hell do you delete a configuration just UPGRADING the speed of a line?

I'm using a fucking dialup 56k connection: it'll be fixed in 7 days what?

PS: ever tried to open azoogle on a 56k like? a full screen, dvd quality, streaming porn movie would load faster

I am pretty nervous, I've been surfing for more or less 1 hour and I've done what I usually do in less than 1 minute

Buy a smartphone and use it as a modem. I worked with a t-mobile shadow for a few days, I would equate it to low speed dsl.

The good thing about this is you have a 14 day window to return the phone and opt out of the contract.

Get the cheapest calling plan and an unlimited data plan. Should cost you about 35-50 bucks.
 
I'll stay on this 56k line (only at home fortunately) hoping they're quick to fix it...I hope...

56k connectivity costs more or less 60 cents/hour, I think I can afford it for some days
 
Sorry man, that sucks. I'm pissed that I don't get the "advertised" speed out of my cable line, but I can only imagine having to drop down to dial up speeds today... it would be like having to take a cheese grater to your face.. :repuke:
 
Seriously... if you get cell signal at your house, then go get a mobile broadband card from Verizon/Sprint/AT&T. You can return it within 30 days and get out of the contract at most places.

Edit: I see you're in Europe. So pick another provider.

the only ads I see are those on WF (following only this and other few discussions) and those on statcounter

I don't want to get a mobile broadband card (you don't have the option to return it and void the contract, btw I've never seriously looked into them), anyway I really doubt I could get something better than gprs signal at mine, hence it's better a 56k dialup

@ RuDeDoGg: WTF, I'm loading that video, I think it'll be ready when my line gets fixed :D
 
plug in two modem's and use two dial-up connections ( you can bind them in Windows to make one fast connection ).

you can do 4, but that's probably overkill. good luck.
