The Saints Get Fucked HARD

Saints got crushed hard for lying to the "Commish." This punishment came down from the owners. You must honor the shield.

The bounty situation was serious only to the general public. But Goodell needs all the facts so he and his lawyer buddies can put the right twist on it for the media.

Full contact sports = people getting hurt, sometimes permanently, bounty or no bounty.

fucking pussies.

Are you really too dense to understand the difference between allowing players to hit each other (which the NFL still does, for the most part) and allowing teams to set up money that is rewarded for hits that knock opposing players out of the game?

The difference between the scenarios that you outlined are that in one a player gets hurt as a side effect of playing the game and in the other he gets hurt because a bunch of douchebags are gunning for him.

Were the Saints the only team doing this? I doubt it. Has this type of system existed for decades? Probably.

That doesn't change the fact that encouraging players to hurt other players is a bad thing. Injuries are a bad thing. As much as I might hate Peyton Manning, I'd never want to see a game decided between him and other team because of some injury.

Injuries happen in the NFL and they happen all-too often without fucked up bounty hunting systems and everything else. The NFL isn't being a bunch of pussies about this issue -- for once they're being smart by trying to eliminate a system that incentivizes injuries. Period.

payton was thumbing his nose at the commish.

they were told to cut that shit out, then they lied, then emails were found detailing the bounty( fucking rookie move), plus the pills incident, and they having an ex-felon on the payroll.

he's a class act though, hahah

he's lucky he only got a year.

saints lucky they didn't take away first rounders.

williams will be back.

the nfl is looking towards the future when all these lawsuits come to trial.

are there others teams who do bounties, im sure. but if the commish says cut they shit, im sure they did.

I smell sponsorship opportunities...

And are you that dense that you don't realize that in a violent sport like your nfl or the nrl here in Australia, that if you are not hitting people with any sort of intent, you simply aren't hitting hard enough - money incentive or not.

fucking pussies. Go put a fucking tutu on them.

Yeah, and the INTENT should be to tackle them to the ground with force NOT injure them. Idiot.

Buy a tutu.

Contact sports equals violent contact - even the seemingly most innocuous contact has the potential to cause serious harm or injury. Where do you draw the line? If you think the big hits that everyone loves come without having anything but an intent to harm someone, you are a fucking moron.

NFFL - National Flag Football League FTW!!!!

After winning the Super Bowl in 2009-2010, the Saints have really been on a downward spiral.

In the 2010 playoffs, they lose to the Seahawks.

In the 2011 playoffs, they lose to the 49ers.

And now in 2012, their coach suspended for the year and the loss of 2 - 2nd round draft picks.

What's in store for next year? Another hurricane?
