The other posters are right, you do need proxies, although I'd like to add that proxies are only used for Competition Analysis and if you're doing 200-300 keywords per day you can probably get by without proxies.

Thanks guys - I bought this and I am happy so far, but have one question - the metrics for local/global metrics seem completely off in comparison to using the Google KW tool. E.g. my given keyword shows as 170 global searches in UNF, but in the KW tool, it's 4400. Same for others. Is this value not taken directly from Google but calculated in a proprietary fashion or anything like that?

Just got UNF today and I LOVE IT. It's so fast. I've used micro niche finder for a while and this BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER. $50 is a steal. It's so simple yet works so efficiently. This has got to be the best publicly available tool for finding EMDs. Great job Clyde.
Love this tool! I've got a good list of keywords I would have never discovered on my own.
One thing though, how often does G make changes that you need to issue an update for? I've noticed that it will be humming along fine and then hang up when trying to expand keywords. This has happened several times.

I'm guessing Google change their stuff 2-3 times every month just to keep us on our toes, I don't know for sure though. At the moment there's a problem recognizing the captcha when GAKT shows one, programmer's on it so there'll be a fix in 24h.

I bought this, fantastic piece of software.
Was using trial of market samurai and this blows it out of the water hands down. Market Samurai was ridiculously slow, and this is unbelievably fast and useful.
Added a couple related keywords to a site i'm working on that were ranked ~20 in difficulty and with a $5 fiverr package i'm 10th for the search on Google.
