I always wondered about the legs...

That was cool. He'd have to be very careful pulling those legs out or Oops! just tore one off! He's also probably very squishy after shedding...

^^^ They are very "squishy" right after shedding. Down here, we catch soft shell crabs. They are soft and you have to be gentle with them. What we do is fry them whole - legs and everything and make sandwiches out of them. YUMMO! But, our crabs dont look like that freaky thing. We have Blue Crabs.

If you never had a fried soft shell crab Po Boy, you should try one. Usually the legs are hanging out the side of the bread.

Why am do I fear spiders but not these. These look exactly like giant spiders. Weird.

He's lucky that Sig & the boys didn't catch his ass.

It's amazing how he pulls his legs right out of the old shell...usually I have to use scissors and even then it's a struggle.

Do you remove the insides first or just fry them right out of the water? Sounds good though, I'm hungry haha.

This is when most of them get snatched up by predators, since they really can't fight back.

Because it contains calcium and other substances needed to harden quickly, they will usually eat their old exo once their claws get hard enough to crack it.
