Tips to find affiliate programs

Just starting out with my small business and trying to promote it online with various affiliate programs. Does anyone have any tips on how to find valid affiliate programs? That is such a broad question. What I mean is that affiliate programs range from cost per lead to cost per sale and so on. There are tons of trusted networks out there for affiliate programs, but again, it depends on what you are looking to do. If you are looking to get paid for each sale from merchandise, CJ.com, LinkShare, and Shareasale are all good. If you are looking to get paid for each lead or free trial or signups, try Mediatrust, EWA, Copeac, Ads4Dough, C2M and so on. Just search around the forum and you will find plenty of good networks that carry tons of trusted affiliates.

thanks for the post. its quite helpful for people who are confused about their business promotion. hope they do find some trusted affiliates. requires quite a lot of reading i suppose.
