Usually male, the Internet Tough Guy talks big shit online, but IRL he's a total fag or a basement-dweller. Most internet toughguys are into computer programming, or, at the bare minimum, love videogaming.
Not that I want to bump this retarded thread, cause I know jon hates this service, but they're apparently coming out with a self-hosted version of the software pretty soon so I'd wait for that if you have issues with letting people see your keywords.

I wonder if the owner and ceo of 202 is selling the data?
im gonna pipe in here. while i dont know officially about tracking 202's capability/useability since I already have my own software, I wont comment about that.
But the guy who made it is local to me, and a few friends of mine have met him/hung out. Im gonna meet up with him one of these days as well.
So I dont know him personally, but I do know that he's no "livin it up" because he stole everyone else's keywords and campaigns. I hear he does ok, but his passion is programming, and ppc simply gives him the freedom to do that. tracking 202 seems more like a "contribution" to the ppc world than an attempt at swiping campaigns.
he swears up and down that the service will never be used for malicious intent, and based on what i know about him, he seems sincere.
so will tracking202 steal your campaigns? I'm guessing not, but you be the judge. make people earn your trust. get to know the guy, then decide. read his blog as a place to start.

Im glad they gave out prosper202.com and feel like it really is for the community. However i did understand from somewhere that he had a plan of selling tracking202.com after he gets enough unaware clients, which would be terrible. Why? Because no doubt would all the campaign info be sold for third parties etc.

See, this is why you have to make/host your own tracking software. Not saying that it's true, just in general.

Dude i bet youre right. I never said my sources were trustworthy on this case. Thats just something i read somewhere and thought it might be true. nothing else. I really don't see why one would just make something without any profit, when everything in this business is about the money. But wait, he did give the prosper one for free to us nonbelievers so i guess he really has those princess diana qualities.

Yes, thats why i do have my own scripts. However now when the prosper version from 202 is out, i might look into that for fun.
prosper202 is out and pretty bad ass. still has issues with having to post 1 ad at a time and some tedious stuff, but when I talked to wes he said they are working on it. I guess i am an early adopter. prosper202 dot com

There are other ways to make profit besides stealing data...
advertising, upselling premium services later on, using afflilite links to recommend networks etc...
Isn't aff. marketing all about thinking outside the box? maybe they have a business model that is new and they are gonna profit in a way none of us ever thought of....
Does this do anything besides giving you a landing URL for your campaign and log it before bouncing to the real URL?
Once again you are absolutely right that there are other, even better ways to make money. However if this was my service im not so sure if i could NOT be looking at all those campaigns + doing all that other crap. To me it would be idiotic not to look at them. But then again, thats just what i would do. That leads me into thinking that since he is already getting bad rep from releasing it in the first place, so now when everybody is already expecting, why not take a look?
However it is im sure your friend wont be doing peeking if you say so, because overtime i have learned to trust you. If you are wrong then it is what it is, but i hope you hook me up if there is data to buy!!
