So I wanted try my hand at list building but couldn't find a decent solution for tracking until I found this: Ian Fernando How to Track Your eMail Optins with Prosper202
The only problem with that is you can't track how many people are opting in AND confirming their subscription. Here's how to do:
1. Create a new campaign in prosper. Set the affiliate URL as your aweber thank you page(eg. yourdomain.com/thankyou.html).
2. Setup your landing page and ads in prosper and grab your global tracking pixel.
3. In aweber setup your custom Success Page(eg yourdomain.com/confirmed.html).This is the page the user will land on once they've confirmed their subscription. You want to place your global tracking pixel on this page.
4. Setup your web form in aweber. Create a custom Thank You Page and set it as your prosper outbound tracking link(yourdomain.com/outbound.php).
5. Grab your links and make sure it works.
Too easy.
Now in prosper when you analyze your landing pages the click throughs represent how many people put in their name+email and the leads show how many of those confirmed their subscription to your list.
