Tracking with ad rotation

Hi,

I was wondering how (if) this can be tracked with p202. I have a WordPress blog which has ads rotating in the sidebar and posts using the datafeedr Random Ads plugin.

The problem is that the tracking links for all of my ads have the LP id (ie. http://trackingurl/tracking202/redirect/lp.php?lpip=xxxx) so I can't really use this same block of ads on every post because each one would be a new landing page. My questions are:

1) how can I rotate ads - not just different network urls for the same offer like here Prosper202 Self Hosted Apps - and track it with 202?

2) can I track ad impressions - preferably within 202?

3) if the user clicks around (ie. reads another post) and still ends up clicking on an ad at some point, how does that get tracked?

My impression so far is that I'm trying to combine ppc tracking, analytics, and ad server functionality and probably need to roll my own, but I want to see if there is something out there already before I try to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks.

Bumped b/c I want to know as well. I just learned how to do Tracking202 setup last night and want to eventually do what you're talking about with some content & "how to" sites I've got.

Hiitsrob, if you've learned the answer elsewehre (202 forums perhaps?), could you share?

As far as I know, P202 doesn't track impressions. It wasn't really made for display advertising, although you can still use it to some degree... It does sound like you are looking for more of an Ad Server type functionality here.

Maybe try OpenX?
