I'm trying to get my first campaign up and running. I have WP all set up, using Thesis theme completely stripped down. Presell is all written, etc.

I've installed Tracking202 on another domain, set everything up for my campaign/site.

Now the problem is if I just view my website tracking202 is counting that view as a click.

I don't want to start my adwords campaign until I get this sorted out.

WTF gives!!??

Yeah I had this problem too. Under your Traffic Past Visitors page click to filter to "real clicks" and then it will only show when new IP's click. The time you went to your site though is stuck there.

Now when I am analyzing my stats I just download the excel file and delete that first "click" that came from me testing my ad links. It would be nice to know how to permanently delete a click ID though if anyone knows.

Thanks for the input.

I changed it to "real clicks" and everything disappeared. Even the legit clicks aren't being listed.

Something seems fucked up as I just reload the page and it counts that page reload as a click.

You can try switching to "all clicks" this will show all the clicks.

the "real vs. filtered clicks" was put in place because google bot likes to scan and register a ton of clicks when they spider your page. Because this threw off the click count, we made it so you could switch the click count between real and filtered clicks. Basically how it works is, any click with the same IP address within a 24 hour period is considered filtered.

So you can set it to "show all clicks" to see everything. And if you check your page and don't want it to mess up your click stats, its ok, once you start sending google traffic, turn it back to "show real clicks" so it'll show only the unique hits.
