Hi,

I am running an offer through direct linking on AdCenter. I"m getting traffic but getting zero conversions.

My question is.. would it be worthwhile to create a landing page for this offer to push it through AdWords or Yahoo? Or would it be a waste of time since i'm already getting people to the advertiser's landing page and no results have coming in?

Thanks in advance!

How good is the merchants LP?
How much volume are you dealing with? If you've got like 4 clicks and are freaking out because you haven't made your money back, just wait it out.
And yeah, I'd say it's almost always worth it to build an LP, unless the offer just really blows.

Thanks Clash.

I have over 120 clicks to this merchants LP.... zero conversions... the cpc is fairly low for this niche..

Is it a rebill offer or another offer that requires a credit card?

120 clicks probably isn't super significant, unless you're promoting an offer with a payout of <$3-4

It is an offer that requires a credit card.. it's not one of those acai berry or diet offers.. i'm promoting a magazine offer... get free 10 issues on the sign-up.

Thanks!

Create a landing page...pre-sell the offer according to your demographic...and make sure you're targeting the right demographic depending on the kinds of magazines you're promoting. If it converts, then scale it out to Yahoo/Google (although you get different kinds of traffic with each of these resources, so if you have the time/budget split test across all three platforms). Just my 2 cents.

What niche/offer is this? It can vary. Dating ads for the most part don't need an LP. You can almost always just direct link and it works fine.

presell the hell outa it with different techniques then test each technique

then the best technique test the hell outa that diff font colors bold all that

This doesn't apply for every offer but - in MOST cases, if you're promoting something that needs a credit card, you need to have a LP to make it profitable. People are more likely to enter their CC# if you presell.

I know the exact offer you are probably promoting. I can see why you started with direct linking because the pre-sell pages that are used for all those other offer types don't make as much sense here.

Still I'd definitely try to build a LP for that offer. Make the buyer feel like they are getting a great deal for an amazing magazine. Also what I have found works great with sports offers is accuse the reader of not being a real fan if they are not willing to do X.

Plus the greedy ass merchant just needs to lower the S&H on that offer or the payout needs to go up I would say, that's what made me pass on this offer when I saw it. The payout should not be just $4-5 higher than the cost to the user with a re-bill offer.

Thanks for this advice. I guess this is the only magazine offer out there haha..

Thanks everyone for your advice too! I'll build a LP to test this out!
